WebRTC Insights

The bi-weekly intelligence brief that 20+ engineering teams at Twilio, Microsoft, Cisco, and others rely on to stay ahead of browser changes, security patches, and ecosystem shifts.

Two ways to handle WebRTC

Passive

Wait for things to break

Focus on features. Get surprised by deprecations, security patches, and browser regressions. Spend 20+ hours a month tracking down what changed and why.

Active

Know what’s changing before it ships

Get a prioritized briefing every two weeks. Act on security patches before they become incidents. Let someone else do the 20 hours of research.

WebRTC Insights turns the active approach into a subscription.

Inside the WebRTC Insights

This is not a link dump. Every item comes with context — why we flagged it, what it means for your product, and what to do about it.

From the issue tracker

Curated bug reports and feature requests in browsers and libWebRTC, with our own classification of severity and impact.

Mailing lists & PSAs

Important threads from W3C and IETF mailing lists, plus our own analysis of the Public Service Announcements posted to discuss-webrtc.

Chrome origin trials

What’s coming to Chrome before it ships. New APIs, deprecations, behavioral changes — with timelines you can plan around.

WebRTC security

CVEs that affect WebRTC stacks. Severity, exploitability, what to patch, what to ignore.

Market insights

Funding, M&A, vendor moves, and the strategic shifts that change buy-vs-build math for your team.

What subscribers say

“WebRTC Insights has become a business-critical resource for our team. The depth and timeliness of the analysis cuts months off our research and helps us make better technical decisions.”

Andy O’Dower
VP Product Management

“An incredibly useful tool for anyone building serious WebRTC applications. The signal-to-noise ratio is phenomenal — nothing in the inbox is wasted.”

Brian Baldino
Principal Engineer

“An invaluable resource that cuts through the noise. We rely on WebRTC Insights to surface exactly what matters across browsers, standards bodies, and the broader ecosystem.”

Huseyin Ozcan
Principal PM

“WebRTC Insights might be the most important email you read every fortnight as an RTC / video engineer. We have been ahead countless times because of it.”

Saul Ibarra Corretge
Principal Software Engineer

“A must-have for any organization serious about WebRTC. It saves us research time and gives our engineering leads context they would not otherwise have.”

Tim Ikhizgilov

“Tsahi and Philipp’s bi-weekly insights are as practical as they are deep. Issue tracker analysis we’d never do ourselves, plus the strategic context we actually use.”

Michael Froehlich

“The brainstorm sessions are gold. An hour with Tsahi is worth weeks of independent investigation.”

Dag-Inge Aas

“A great way to stay current. We use it as a forcing function to keep our WebRTC team aligned on what’s coming next.”

Common questions

Who is this for?

CTOs, VP Engineering, tech leads, and senior engineers at companies building real-time communication products on WebRTC. If you have a team of 5+ engineers and your product is past prototype, you’ll get the most value.

I use Twilio. Is this for me?

If you’re building on a CPaaS, you might not need the browser-level bug tracking. But several of our CPaaS-using clients find the market insights, security coverage, and ecosystem analysis valuable on their own. The answer depends on how close your team is to the WebRTC layer. Schedule a call and we’ll figure it out together.

How is delivery handled?

Every two weeks you get an email with the new issue. Each issue is also published to your dedicated portal as a searchable HTML page and a PDF. Past issues stay accessible as long as your subscription is active.

Can multiple teammates use one subscription?

Yes. Subscriptions are per-company. Onboarding includes setting up access for the people on your team who should be reading it.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month or annual. Annual saves two months. Cancel anytime — no auto-renew traps.

Can I see a sample issue?

Absolutely. Use the contact form below or email us, and we’ll send a recent issue so you can judge it on its own merits.
