Give me a good SciFi book and I'm good for several days. Or hours. Depending on how good it is.
A couple of weeks ago, it was
Hebrew Book Week here in Israel, so after pampering myself with 2 nice books in Hebrew, I just had to buy 2 sequels of books I've been reading on the Kindle. It got me thinking about
how my reading habits have changed due to Kindle and how my authors list has changed as well – the people whose books I now read.
For those of you who love Science Fiction books AND use a Kindle, here are a few great series of books that are considerably cheaper than paper books AND will leave you asking for more.
If you are new to the Kindle and looking for things to read, this is a nice place to start.
Spinward Fringe / Randolph Lalonde
Read them all. Space opera at its best. If there's one thing I hate about this great series is the wait until the next book comes out.
Start with the first book: Origins. Totally free. It will get you hooked to this series like a drug.
Wool / Howey Hugh
This is a GREAT series. So much fun. There's this silo. And people live there. And that is their world. The books unveil the why and how this all happened.
To make it easy, just take the Wool Omnibus Edition to get the whole shebang of the series in a single gulp.
The Hunger Games / Suzanne Collins
This one is a no brainer. If you haven't read it – do it now. Before the next movie in the series.
The Rho Agenda / Richard Phillips
A
nice series of books
. An alien ship is found by a bunch of kids. They get some nice powers and need to save the world. Or something along these lines.
Star Force Series / B. V. Larson
Computer Science professor turned soldier. Easy reading with no real thinking that needs to go with it. Totally enjoyable.
Peace Warrior Trilogy / Steven L. Hawk
Warrior from the past comes to save a complacent earth population from oppressing aliens. Another nice and enjoyable read.
This one starts with the first book for free as well.
WIRED and AMPED / Douglas E. Richards
A scientist finds a way to temporarily enhance the IQ of people. And then everyone goes looking for her. For those who love a read about current days with a technology twist and a bit of a thriller this would be it.
Started by getting WIRED. Read it. if you like it, continue to AMPED.

To make it easy, I've bunched all of the books in the series above into an easy to access Amazon book list:
My definite Inexpensive SciFi Kindle book list.
Got your own series for science fiction? Please do tell me about it – wouldn't want to miss them.
