Streaming Servers - Commercial

A commercial streaming server is paid infrastructure for getting live video to a lot of people at once: one-to-many broadcasts, and feeds from cameras into a central hub. This is not the group-call layer. Most of them carry RTMP, HLS and SRT alongside WebRTC because real deployments mix protocols.

My take

Red5 Pro and Ant Media would be my favorites for their WebRTC support. Wowza is the industry standard, but their WebRTC story is weak. OptiView is more of a full packaged solution and Ceeblue is niche.

Tool AI Visibility iHow often AI recommends this tool - the average of three model scores from 0 to 10: Claude Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 2.5 Flash and GPT-4o. The models disagree a lot here, which is the point. Quality iA measured score from 0 to 100, blending documentation depth (docs) and feature coverage (feat). Agent-ready iWhether the vendor ships something that lets an AI agent build with or operate it: an agent skill or MCP server (full), or just an llms.txt docs file (adjacent). Here the small vendors lead and the big ones have nothing. Release cadence iHow actively the product ships, measured June 2026: releases in the last 12 months and the latest release. Raw figures from each vendor's release notes and changelog, never composited into a score. Pricing iIndicative entry pricing gathered June 2026 from public pages. Most of this category is sales-gated. A quiet context column, not a score, and not verified for your contract. Tsahi's note

MEASURED

  • Release cadence was pulled from each vendor's release notes, changelog and GitHub in June 2026
  • AI Visibility and Quality come from my evaluation runs in the same window
  • None of these is composited into a single score

VERIFY

  • Pricing is indicative, gathered from public pages in June 2026, and is not a scored column
  • Red5 Pro and Ceeblue release figures are approximate (their sites block automated access)
  • Confirm current rates and versions with each vendor

None of that is a score. It's a recommendation. The grades on this page measure the machines, not my opinion of the vendors.
