Screencasting in WebRTC is the capability of sharing the screen with remote peers.

Screencasting enables sharing a full screen, a specific tab or a specific application. In Chrome, you can even share a cropped piece of a browser tab or a DOM element of a rendered web page.

Screencasting is also known as screen sharing.
