Cisco just acquired Tropo, making it an official API vendor with a a large developer ecosystem. It also made it a WebRTC PaaS player. What challenges lie ahead of Cisco, and what are the open questions about this acquisition?

Blue Jimp (and Jisti) got acquired by Atlassian for their HipChat service. This was all about WebRTC multiparty video calling capabilities. Atlassian needed to replace its existing dependence on AddLive and to be able to take ownership of its destiny in real time communications.
